Following the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland, the 2021 COP26 side event in Tainan, Taiwan is hosted by the International Climate Development Institute (ICDI), Taiwan Youth Climate Coalition (TWYCC), Arrow Electronics, Inc., and the Environmental Quality Protection Foundation (EQPF).

The COP26 side event provides a platform for observer organisations to hold formal discussions on COP26-focused topics, as well as networking and knowledge sharing among the participants.

For this side event, participants underlined common urban challenges they face on a day-to-day basis. With references to our Global Smart Solution Report published in 2019, we held talks on smart city solutions to enhance urban resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability.
